09 Dec Year 2 present Puss in Boots!
At Beddington Infants’ School, every year group does its own Christmas performance.
The Year 2 children were delighted to present the story of Puss in Boots! The children chose which character they would like to play in the story; there were cats, wizards, fairies, dancers, children, narrators and members of the band. There was also Dame Trot, Colin, Alice, The King of Merrydale, Puss in Boots and the Giant Couldbegood. The story ended by thinking about the First Christmas where children took on the parts of Angels, Mary, Joseph, Shepherds and Wise People.
The children helped to script each scene, deciding on their own lines in the play. They also learned lots of new songs and the actions to accompany them. Co-operating as a whole Year Group they listened to each other, knowing when it was their turn go on stage or speak.
The final production was enjoyed by everyone! Congratulations to everyone in Year 2!
