25 Mar Welcome to the Year 2 Art Gallery!
This half-term the children in Year 2 have learnt about the artwork of L.S. Lowry, Alma Thomas and Barbara Hepworth. They have enjoyed exploring using clay, charcoal and paint to create artwork in the style of these artists. Each child then chose the medium they wanted to use for their final piece. Having carefully planned and created their artwork using either clay, paint or charcoal, they each decided how to exhibit their creation. The children prepared short descriptions about their art and carefully chose the best place to display their finished products. The children in Year 2 were delighted to exhibit their amazing art in their very own art gallery and welcome visitors to the gallery. What amazing artists!
